History

Teesside Lions Basketball Club is one of the most exciting, dynamic & entertaining clubs in the country. Formerly Middlesbrough Lions and founded in 2007, the organisation is in the early stages of life but has made a huge impact on the National scene, to such an extent that the governing body; England Basketball granted National League entry to the ambitious Teessiders after their inaugural season in the National Founders Cup.

The club changed its name to Teesside Lions in 2013 to recognise its growth in the area. The club have a strong presence within Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.

The Lions game day is among the best of the best with entertainment including music, sound effects, cheerleaders, half time shows, exciting team intros, and competitions making the event the perfect family orientated afternoon out. The arena is first class, its warm, fun, exciting, non stop action and so much more but don’t take our word for it….come and see for yourself!

Lions owner; James Thomson has signalled his intentions with the assembling of a strong team and with securing new signings both on and off the court, the club are looking to mount a serious challenge for honours.
