Popular forward Emmanuel Kabengele returns to the Teesside Lions, and is eligible to play tomorrow against Northampton.
Kabengele spent the start of this season in Division Three with Sunderland, and was a key factor in the team’s positive start with a 4 win & 2 loss record.
The 6’4 forward, who has also played for Northumbria University and Newcastle University, is a popular figure among the Teesside fans, not only for his abilities on the court, but also for his playful personality.
‘Manny’ is the third new signing over the Christmas period, hot on the heels of Jamie Glen and Faaris Mughal and provides a good compliment to balance the squad.
Lions owner James Thomson is pleased to bring Manny back into the red of Teesside, adding:
“I am happy to get Manny back on Teesside, and we appreciate the efforts from Sunderland to smooth the process which allows him to feature this weekend.
“Manny is a strong and versatile player. He was a great player for us last season and I believe there is more to come from him, so I am looking forward to seeing this unfold.”
Manny will be back in his favoured number 31 tomorrow. Spectators are encouraged to buy tickets in advance via TeessideLions.com
